British contemporary photomontage artist Claire Gill produces artist cards of many of her Seascape fine art images. Maybe you can recognise familiar locations, boats or landmarks in these re-imagined digital collages.

Firstly, Claire photographs coastal locations. So far she has visited Suffolk, Kent, Essex, Dorset, Cornwall and Sussex as well as Cumbria and Scotland. Secondly, on returning to the studio she edits, combines and layers different parts of these photographs to create entirely new scenes. As a result, the image is surreal, but maintains a sense of the place it was inspired by.

These fine art cards are characterised by Claire’s love of colour and surface, which has been influenced by her former career as a textile designer.

COASTAL CARDS

Artist cards are 15 cm x 15cm and printed on beautifully textured art paper. They come with a white envelope and are blank inside.

In order to be more environmentally friendly with the packaging I use, the cards and envelopes are held together with a card catch rather than a cellophane bag.
